6 months

Isabella will actually be 7 months next friday (the 27th) but we got her 6 month pictures taken this past Sunday. Picture People does such a good job!

Here's a better one. This is about 5 1/2 months. She's changed so much! I love these monthly pictures. It's so neat to go back and look at the progression and see how fast they grow :)

Did I just buy a $20 teether?!

The answer....yes! Wow, I can't believe i was sucked into the Sophie phenomenon!

Isabella better like this super expensive teether! And to get the free shipping I added this little guy :) On another note, my mom and I are taking Isabella to the mall tomorrow to get her picture taken. This was supposed to be the 3 month pictures, as in the milestone pictures 3/6/9/12. So we're a month late on this one. I have a coupon for a picture package to JCP and a free 8x10 at picture people. Hoping to score some good labor day sale deals where were at the mall also. Sunday Doug and I are taking Isabella to Meremec Spring State Park. My mom said i've been there before but I was young and I don't remember. Apparently it is really pretty there. I'm pretty excited about it and I hope the weather cooperates.

Halloween

I know it's a little early for Halloween but I finally decided on a costume for Isabella. A ladybug! I'm so excited! She's going to look so cute! :)

Vacation

We didn't get a vacation this year b/c Isabella is too young, but I'm happy to say we're taking a vacation next summer to Tennessee. We're going in june and staying 5 nights. I can't wait! We're staying at Oak Haven Resort in Sevierville, TN. It's close to Pigeon Forge, TN. The resort has around 97 custom log homes to choose from ranging from 1 bedroom to 7 bedroom homes. We're staying in a 1 bedroom. Here is our cabin. Each cabin has its own hot tub on the back deck :) Our kitchen has stainless steel appliances! Our living room has a 53" Flat Screen TV :) Our dining room. The bedroom looks so cozy and homey :) The tub in the bathroom. And finally the rest of the outdoor space :) The location of the cabin on the resort is perfect b/c it's within walking distance of the playground. It also has a pool. It's nothing special but it works. I liked how it had a separate kiddie pool. While we're there we're planning on spending a day at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We want to go to The Knoxville Zoo. And finally we'll be going to an exotic petting zoo. The rest of our stay we'll spend relaxing in our cabin/at the pool and just driving around taking in the scenery.

Finally Sleeping in her Crib!

Well I'm excited to say Isabella is finally sleeping in her own bed and I get to sleep in mine again! We started feeding her cereal about 1-2 hours before bed and then formula right before bed and it has worked so far. The first night she woke up several times the second night was a few times and last night she woke up only once :) Still trying to get her to roll. She is so close! Hopefully in another week or so she'll figure it out :) On a different subject, we are almost finished finishing our basement. We put down laminite hardwood flooring and finished the entertainment center that was roughed in when we moved in. It's looking so good. Hopefully we'll finish up this weekend. We still have about 80 sq ft of flooring to put down and the trim still needs to be put up. I'll be so glad when it's finally done!

Isabella's First Swim

Isabella isn't really doing anything fun or exciting yet so nothing much to post. She went swimming for the first time on Saturday. She loved it but I think it wore her out! She slept 8 hours that night :) And this is her most recent picture taken on Father's Day :)

Isabella

I guess i'm long overdue for an update. Isabella was born 4/27 at 3:22pm. She weighed 8 lbs, 8 oz and was 19 in long. I was induced 2 days early which was so nice. I hope it works out that way for #2. Labor was fairly easy and the epidural was awesome! She is now 6 weeks and 2 days old. We got professional pictures done when she was a few weeks old. Here are a few. Enjoy!

The letters are crooked over the crib. I still need to fix that.

I don't like how the pictures are centered on the wall but the dresser isn't centered over them. I didn't want to cover up the light switch cover though. I still might do it anyway though.
