Isabella

I guess i'm long overdue for an update. Isabella was born 4/27 at 3:22pm. She weighed 8 lbs, 8 oz and was 19 in long. I was induced 2 days early which was so nice. I hope it works out that way for #2. Labor was fairly easy and the epidural was awesome! She is now 6 weeks and 2 days old. We got professional pictures done when she was a few weeks old. Here are a few. Enjoy!

The letters are crooked over the crib. I still need to fix that.

I don't like how the pictures are centered on the wall but the dresser isn't centered over them. I didn't want to cover up the light switch cover though. I still might do it anyway though.

Isabella's Nursery 2

So I got the call from JCP yesterday that the dresser is in YAY!! I'm going to pick it up after work! I can't wait to get it put together. The baby furniture is still on sale so I just went ahead and ordered the changing table. I planned on buying it with some of our tax refund money but I don't know how much longer it's going to be on sale so I just went ahead and ordered it. I decided on this changer after looking FOREVER for one I liked. I liked this one the best out of all the others I looked at because I felt this was more of a universal piece of furniture. It doesn't necessarily look like a changing table and can be used in Isabella's room long after she's out of the diaper changing stage. Last thing to order for the nursery are the ladybug wall decals. I get to choose the color of the head and body so i'm going with pink bodies and green heads :) I can't wait till the nursery is finished! It will feel like we're actually ready for Isabella!

Isabella's Nursery

I'm so excited about the stuff i've been buying for Isabella's nursery. I bought the dresser as stated in a previous post and still waiting for that to come in. I also bought a set of pictures to hang above her dresser. A switch plate cover. And the thing i'm most excited about is a floral wall decal. I originally found it on Etsy for $33 plus shipping. I then did an Ebay search on it and found it there selling for $40 plus shipping. But luck would have it there was an auction for it and the starting price was $12.99! The auction ended yesterday and I won it! I was so excited. Now I can't wait for everything to come in so I can start decorating!

Week 28

At week 28 Isabella weighs as much as a Chinese cabbage. I'm so excited for the ultrasound tomorrow! Feels like it took forever to get here. After this appointment I start going to the doctor every 2 weeks. I'm so glad to finally be in the home stretch. I'm getting so anxious and I just wish she would hurry up and get here! Only 12 more weeks! Doug called his mom the other day and she informed him that she will be buying us the crib! I'm so excited about that. That's one less big expense on us. The crib I wanted from Walmart is out of stock and has been for about 2 weeks. So I don't know if they are discontinuing it or not. So I found one on JCP.com. I thought it would be really expensive but they're having a sale right now and it's actually pretty reasonable. And best of all when bought off the registry and shipped to the store shipping is free.

It looks a lot like the crib I originally wanted from Target but they stopped selling it in their stores.

While I was looking around at JCP I decided to look at dressers. I figured since the furniture was on sale I could get a better quality piece for right around the amount I was planning to spending in the first place. So I ordered this one in cherry! I had originally posted saying I was going to buy one from walmart but stupid Walmart discontinued it! Ohh well i'm happy with this one :) Now I can't wait for it to arrive and set it up in the room!

27 weeks 5 days

Well i'm almost 28 weeks now! Little over 12 weeks to go! I wish April was here already. I'm so ready to meet Isabella and I can't wait to see what she looks like. She better be a cute baby otherwise she's going back, lol. I'm just kidding! We'll love her no matter what! Well I have another ultrasound on Thursday! I can't wait! Hopefully she caught up by now and is as big as she's supposed to be. My mom is so excited because she gets to come with me. Doug would have came but he just started at MODOT at the beginning of January so he can't take off. Well invites have gone out for the shower and i've already started registry stalking :) When I got on today I was pleasantly surprised to see someone already bought us our travel system, Yea!

24, almost 25 weeks :)

It's been a long time since i've posted. I don't think ppl really read my blog so I kinda just stopped. Today I'm especially bored at work so I decided to catch my blog up a little whether ppl are reading it or not. Well i'm 24, almost 25 weeks pregnant now. Isabella is moving a lot now and I love feeling her inside of me. At my 20 week ultrasound she was measuring 6 days behind but my fundal height has consistently been measuring 2 weeks ahead so my OB is going to do another ultrasound to check growth. Doug just started a new job so he can't take off so i've asked my mom to come with me. She's so excited! Well the registries are done and that's a good feeling. I was looking at my registry today and noticed that the dresser we registered for sells out very quickly so as soon as it's back in stock i'm just going to go ahead and buy it. So i'm pretty excited about that. That will officially be our first baby purchase. Well I guess new baby purchase. I forgot we bought a jumperoo and a gym from a friend. The date is set for the shower (March 1st). It will be here before I know it!
